The Retreat

Banyan By The Ganges has the most salubrious setting throughout the year. While the 300-year-old Banyan tree offers its eternal shade, the resort boasts of a great tree cover and has natural gardens and sidewalks. The 13 cottages are well-spaced with comfortable sitting areas, a volleyball court, and a gazebo where you can enjoy winter evenings around a bonfire with friends and family.

An open dining area and lounge named 'The Riverstone Diner' is for great conversations over delicious meals or board games and is also just the place to flip through our fine collection of books. A few minutes walk down an unpaved path leads to the Ganga and the entire area with its canopy of trees offers endless explorations with the presence of more than 120 species of birds.

Reaching Banyan by the Ganges

BBTG is in Vyasghat, district Pauri Garhwal in the state of Uttarakhand. Located at a distance of 78 kms from Rishikesh. Banyan by the Ganges is easily accessible by Air, Train and Road.

    1. BY AIR - Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the nearest Airport and driving time is approx. 2.5 hrs between Airport & BBTG.

    2. BY TRAIN - Haridwar Railway station is the nearest railhead and driving time is approx. 3 hrs between Railway station & BBTG

    3. BY ROAD - There are 2 routes from Delhi NCR to reach BBTG.

    • Through Haridwar & Rishikesh ( approx. 7-7.5 hrs) – Delhi – Meerut – Khatauli– Muzaffarnagar – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Devprayag – Banyan by the Ganges, Vyasghat.
    • Through Bijnor & Kotdwar ( approx. 8-8.5 hrs) - Delhi – Meerut – Khatauli – Bijnor – Najibabad – Kotdwar – Ghumkhal – Satpuli (head towards Devprayag for Vyasghat) – Banyan by the Ganges, Vyasghat.
